Slow Sunday

A textured weekend campaign for an independent print journal, pairing thoughtful reading with the quiet pleasure of stepping away from a screen. Earthy art direction and unhurried portraiture give the publication a distinct point of view, with adaptable versions for subscriptions, editorial announcements and social storytelling.

A Case for Taking Time

A Case for Taking Time

The independent journal was not competing to publish the fastest take. Its appeal was the opposite: considered writing, physical design and a reading experience with no alert waiting in the corner.

We avoided framing print as an escape from modern life. Instead, the film follows a reader through an unhurried Sunday, where the journal moves naturally between breakfast, a chair by the window and a walk taken with one unfinished article still in mind.

Paper, Light, Room to Breathe

Paper, Light, Room to Breathe

Earthy production design kept the pages bright without making the setting precious. Macro details found embossing, ink density and the sound of thick paper, while wider portraits left generous negative space around the reader.

The camera rarely arrived before the action; it settled after a cup was placed or a page was opened, creating the sensation of joining a quiet moment already in progress. The edit used longer holds and ambient sound, trusting the audience to stay.

A Campaign That Refuses to Rush

A Campaign That Refuses to Rush

The hero film, subscription cutdowns and editorial announcements share the journal’s deliberate pace, even in shorter formats. The campaign does not shout for attention. It offers a calmer kind of invitation: this story will still be here when you are ready to read it properly.
